Internship: Mixed Media Audiobook Production Intern

About the Role

We are producing a multimedia-enhanced audiobook designed to be fully accessible and engaging for people with vision loss. This is a meaningful, creative project with real community impact — and we need a talented intern to help bring it to life.

What You'll Do

• Integrate ambient sound, music, and audio effects into audiobook chapters

• Create or source accessible graphics and visual supplements

• Select and edit photographs that complement the narrative

• Coordinate media assets to produce a cohesive, accessible final product

• Work directly with the Executive Director throughout the creative process

Ideal Background

• Studying communications, media production, graphic design, or a related field

• Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, GarageBand, or Adobe Audition

• Basic photo editing experience with Lightroom, Photoshop, or Canva

• Strong attention to detail and genuine interest in accessibility and disability inclusion

• Self-starter who communicates well and can work independently
