About the Role
Help build a movement around disability rights and vision loss advocacy at the community level. You will mobilize supporters, grow our membership base, and amplify the voices of people with vision loss in Virginia and Washington D.C.
What You'll Do
Recruit and engage community members, volunteers, and advocates
Support membership drives and disability awareness campaigns
Manage social media content to grow community engagement
Coordinate virtual meetings, webinars, and community calls
Draft newsletters and advocacy-focused communications
Ideal Background
Political science, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field
Passion for disability rights and social justice
Experience with social media or community organizing a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Creative, energetic, and self-motivated
