Internship: Grant Writing Intern

About the Role

Help Visionary Solutions secure the funding we need to expand services for people with vision loss. You will research grant opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and support our fundraising strategy — gaining hands-on experience in one of the most valuable skills in the nonprofit sector.

What You'll Do

• Research federal, state, and private foundation grant opportunities

• Draft and edit grant proposals and letters of inquiry

• Maintain a grants calendar and track submission deadlines

• Assist with grant reporting and compliance documentation

• Support crowdfunding and alternative fundraising initiatives

Ideal Background

• Nonprofit management, public policy, social work, or a related field

• Excellent research and persuasive writing skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Familiarity with grant databases such as Instrumentl and Candid or Guidestar is a plus

• Passion for disability advocacy and nonprofit impact
