Internship: Community Outreach Intern

About the Role

Help Visionary Solutions grow its reach across Virginia and D.C. by connecting people with vision loss to counseling, advocacy, and resource navigation services. You will build relationships with healthcare providers, disability organizations, and community groups who can refer clients to us.

What You'll Do

• Conduct outreach to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and low vision clinics

• Build and maintain a referral contact database

• Draft outreach emails and follow-up communications

• Research disability organizations and support groups in Virginia and D.C.

• Represent Visionary Solutions at virtual events and career fairs

Ideal Background

• Social work, public health, communications, or a related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable with email outreach and phone calls

• Genuine interest in disability rights and accessibility

• Organized, self-directed, and reliable
